MARY KISSES RELIGIOUS OBJECTS The history behind it is when the girls first met Mary, they
were in a rocky cow path, so they would ask Mary to kiss small stones so they
would have a “kissed” object to bring home. Mary politely agreed at first but
asked the girls to bring religious sacramentals to kiss instead, such as
rosaries, scapulars, wedding rings, crucifixes, crosses, etc. They also started
to bring prayer missals. They would fan the pages, so Mary could kiss all the
pages. The kissing of these objects was the principle purpose of
her very last visit at Garabandal on November 13, 1965. Many months in advance
Our Lady told Conchita that the kissing of objects would take place at the
pines on this date. Our Lady told Conchita to distribute these objects because
they have great importance. These articles not only have the special distinction of Our
Lady’s kiss but two special graces were attached to them. Our Lady said, “Through the kiss I bestow on these
objects, my Son will perform prodigies. Distribute them to others. Those
who wear them with faith and devotion will do their purgatory on earth.” Another
interesting miraculous phenomenon was the returning of rosaries. Now
that people started to believe the Blessed Mother was actually
appearing at Garabandal, they would bring their rosaries and medals to
be kissed by her. They were all piled on a table for the girls to offer
up to her. Entangled when presented by the girls to be blessed by the
Blessed Mother, rosaries, medals, and multitude of objects would
incredibly untangle smoothly when being returned to their owners. Even
without any pre-established order, the Garabandal visionaries also
never errored in returning each object to its proper owner, and never
actually had to look for the owner, Mary led them to the owner while
gazing upward. |
